I have one student on the market this year. Erica Birk is an applied econometrician typical of those we've produced in recent years, and will be presenting her research on opioid abuse and prescription drug monitoring. Her broader research interests are in labor and health, following the tradition of bringing sophisticated methods to policy relevant questions.

Research Fellow, Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA)
Co-Editor, Economic Inquiry
Co-Editor, Economics of Education Review
I do research in the economics of education, health economics, risky behaviours, personnel economics, and the importance of physical and qualitative spaces in determining economic outcomes. I teach micro principles, labour, and industrial organization at the undergraduate level, and contract theory, labour, and advanced microeconometrics at the graduate level. I am also on the teaching faculties of the Clark Honors College and the Oregon Executive MBA program, and bear a surprising resemblance to Edvard Munch's take on Hans Jaeger.
